It's All About Me! :)

My husband surprised me the week before my birthday with a coupon that read:

Happy 32nd Birthday! Isaac and I hope that this is the best 32nd year you ever have! May God bless you immensely and may He give you wisdom as you increase in years! I love you with all my heart and can’t wait to see what’s in store for you this year…

Each day I awoke to a new coupon and a present. A coupon for lots of love from her boys, for a date night once a month, for chores (to be done without complaining or grumbling), for a quiet time whenever I need it, for a girl’s night out once a month, and a coupon for pampering myself with a new haircut.

It was such a blessing how wonderful my boys made me feel.

We were also able to celebrate with Chris and Kristin arriving for a month. The whole family went to Mom and Dad’s for the week. We had lots of fun! We played and played.

We went to our family farm one day and played in the river where I played as a child and my mom played as a child. Then we had a big home cooked meal.

We had a wonderful Fiesta Day organized by Jason and Jenni. We made sombrero cookies, had tacos, a piñata and pony rides (from the neighbors across the road).

We went to Natural Bridge (
http://www.naturalbridgeva.com/) and the Drive-Thru Safari Park. We had lots of surprises come up to our vehicles. Jason didn’t care too much for the Bison in his mini-van!

Then we had Girl’s Day Out on Saturday. We went to the Buffalo Springs Herb Farm, Wade’s Mill and out to lunch at a cute café in town. Saturday night we had a big cookout organized by Chris & Kristin for all the neighbors. Grandpa organized all the kids and went to the tree house. When the parents went to check on them we were attacked by water balloons!!

Sunday we finished off the week with church and a wonderful lunch at my Grandma’s house in Waynesboro. We left Isaac with Mom and Dad and headed home.

Mo and I enjoyed a couple of days celebrating our anniversary by going to Charlottesville to see Cirque du Soleil’s Delirium (www.cirquedusoleil.com), shopping, walking around the campus of the University of Virginia, eating lots of good food and staying at a nice B&B.

Now you know why I haven’t blogged in awhile.

wow! you guys have been really busy! it looks like you had a fantastic birthday and anniversary...and a wonderful time with your family. I am glad you are able to spend this time with your siblings! It seems like your family is very close-knit...that is awesome...and Isaac will have lovely childhood memories of being with family, just as your mom and you and your siblings have! that really is a special thing in this day and age! (p.s. i hope we are still on for labor day! we are looking forward to chillin' with you guys!)
