Have you heard that verse...the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few? Well, in our case it should read...the harvest is few, but the workers are many. This year we attempted to have a garden. Thanks to help from Dad our plants were growing like crazy! Sadly, the plants were attacked by mold, bugs, bunnies, you name it. Don't they know I was trying my best to be a Proverbs 31 woman? I considered my field (okay little backyard) and bought it. I tried my best to work the land to provide food for my family. I passed quickly by the cucumbers and squash in the grocery store all summer waiting for my own backyard bounty. Much to my dismay and a summer without my favorite veggies, my garden produced one lonely cucumber (pictured above) and one teeny-tiny squash. Not enough for a feast much less a salad. :) Now don't you cry for me. I will try again next year. Maybe this winter I will work on a tree house in which to grow my garden. Squirrels and birds don't like cucumbers, do they? Posted by Picasa
