We had a fun Memorial Day going to the mountains to Grandpa and Grandma's house. We visited with old friends the Alstons from our Alaska days that were visiting Dad and Mom. We have known the Alstons for over 25 years! They were our family in Alaska. We spent every holiday together. It was fun to catch up with them. They are recently retired (to Arizona) but are traveling the country for awhile. We went to visit one of my favorite places, Buffalo Springs Herb Farm and Wade's Mill one day while Isaac was napping at home with grandma. Mo has so many wonderful pictures of the Herb Farm. Isaac had fun playing in the sprinkler out back, but had even more fun when his cousins arrived for fun walking the dinosaur trail, hiding out in the treehouse, fishing and doing "boy" things.

NEW YORK CITY

We had the wonderful opportunity to go to New York City for a long weekend for our friend Mick's wedding to the beautiful Clarice. We had a great time seeing the city and eating all the yummy food. It was also a great reunion of lots of friends we hadn't seen in a long time. We pray for Mick and Clarice as they head off on a wonderful honeymoon and start their life together in Orlando.

Isaac stayed at home with Grandpa and Grandma and had lots of fun of his own. He went strawberry picking and ate lots of ice cream!

Washington D.C.

We had a great trip with friends to Washington D.C. for the weekend to celebrate Mo's birthday a little late! We visited the National Zoo, the Museum of Natural History, the Washington Monument, the WWII memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans memorial and SO much more. It was a lot of walking, but well worth it! We had a beautiful weekend and got to see the last glimpse of the cherry blossoms. Not to mention what a great time the kiddos had playing together and riding the metro everywhere. We can't wait until our next road trip!
