We had a great trip with friends to Washington D.C. for the weekend to celebrate Mo's birthday a little late! We visited the National Zoo, the Museum of Natural History, the Washington Monument, the WWII memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans memorial and SO much more. It was a lot of walking, but well worth it! We had a beautiful weekend and got to see the last glimpse of the cherry blossoms. Not to mention what a great time the kiddos had playing together and riding the metro everywhere. We can't wait until our next road trip!

I'm 2 1/2 and...

I'm going to be a BIG BROTHER! Mommy has been really sick, but she is now through her first trimester. I'm excited about the baby in Mommy's belly. I can't wait until October when I meet him/her. We will post a picture when we have a good one.

Monument Avenue 10K

Isaac and I were SO proud of Mo this weekend as we cheered him on in his first 10K race down Monument Avenue in downtown Richmond. The Monument Avenue 10K is one of the top 20 races in the country. 26,000 people registered!! Mo did a great job training for 2 months to get ready and he accomplished his goal of finishing in under an hour! He ran with friends Jason and Lindzy which made the race even more fun!

I was too busy cheering to actually get a picture of Mo running...but here he is finishing up!

I was sad I couldn't participate with him (I have been restricted from any activity during my first trimester - which thankfully ends next week). I was in tears watching him cross the finish line. He has been so healthy the last couple of years and has really taken advantage of it. His next goal is a triathlon!

Lindzy helped keep the guys in line and on track with a good pace!

We went to my parent's house this weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday with my Mom. I'm not supposed to say which one. We were hoping for a beautiful spring weekend and look what happened! We got snow! This is the view from my parent's front window.
