Isaac has had the skills for a few months now to walk. He would cruise along our furniture, walk holding our hands, some days bravely walking across the living room from the couch to the loveseat. But the last few days he decided it was time. Crawling is just "so last week" for him. He is now walking all over the place. Sometimes he will start walking really fast and get the giggles and fall down. But that happens to the best of us!
We went to the park today and it was so much fun playing with him on all the equipment as he toddled around. We have entered a new stage. We are having fun!
We are also planning Isaac's first birthday party! He will turn 1 on the 20th. We are having the party Sunday afternoon the 18th. We are doing a bug theme. Do you think the kids will notice that I bought special napkins with bugs on them? Hee-hee. I am so excited about making a caterpillar cake. A big one for everyone and a mini one for Isaac to dig his little fingers into! We will be sure to send you pictures. Okay, I know you are wondering...is this party for Isaac or Alisa? Well, I have to admit I sure love doing this for Isaac!
Soon after we will leave for CA for vacation. We are excited to see all our old pals and to take Isaac to all the places we loved - like having an El Pollo Loco picnic at Salt Creek Beach. :)
You can also pray for Mo. Our church asked him to be a part of an evangelism team to Honduras at the end of October. He is really excited about this opportunity to serve and to brush up on his Spanish. We will also include pictures when we get them!

I can't believe he's walking! Way to go Isaac! And my girls' first birthday parties were just as much fun for me as for them--after all, they DO need some help opening all those little packages :)
