We just love our little man. But I have to admit, he's quick. And he's quite the adventurer. I can't turn my back on him for one second without him getting into something. But then he looks at me with those big puppy dog eyes and I just melt and we have a good laugh together.
Mo and I just returned from celebrating our anniversary. It is the longest we have been away from Isaac (2 days). We had a great time away, but we missed our little man terribly. I looked at his picture a lot and only cried twice. I was SO happy to see him again today. I scooped him up in my arms and we gave each other a big tight squeeze. He loved his time with Grandpa and Grandma (they are so much fun), but he was happy to have his Mommy and Daddy home. And we were glad to be home.
While we were away we reflected on our last 4 years of marriage. We have experienced a lot... from a not-so-good prognosis about Mo's disease, joining full-time ministry, traveling the world on mission trips, leaving full-time ministry, losing a baby, making a major move across the country trusting God would provide jobs and a place for us here in Virginia, to the greatest blessing of all...Isaac. We reflected on the good and the bad and the good again and realized if God could do all of that in 4 years then what does He have in store for us in the next 40?! We will keep pressing on knowing that God's kingdom is here and now. All we have to look forward to is this moment. Thanks for experiencing the moment with us.
