Selah Elise

Our liitle Selah Elise Feliciano arrived October 16 at 1:26pm weighing in at 9 pounds 4 1/2 ounces (and yes, the 1/2 ounce counts).
We left for the hospital early Tuesday morning after a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts to get coffee for Mo and a dozen donuts (gotta butter up the nurses, we got really good care that day).

It was so strange making an appointment to have a baby! Needless to say by the time they got me all hooked up it was close to 8am and they discovered that I had already started having contractions! So I would've had our little Oct. 16 anyway.

The only problem was I progressed a lot faster than the nurse expected and I had to "hold in" (I will spare you the details) my little one for about 45 minutes before my doctor arrived. We were overjoyed to meet our little one. Isaac is a proud big brother and loves his little sister (sometimes too much).
We are home now and adjusting to being a family of four. And the best part is that I can eat again! All the nausea went away when Selah was born. I can't tell you how many turkey sandwiches I ate in the hospital. Mo thought I was trying to break some kind of record. My platelet count is still low, but I will be tested again at my 6 week appointment and we will see where we need to go from there. We were just thankful my count was high enough to get an epidural!

Pumpkin Patch

Mo and Isaac spend good bonding time together every Saturday morning they call "Buddy Time." Last Saturday they left Mommy at home resting while they headed to the pumpkin patch. I've included pics from our previous trips last year and the year before so that you can see how Isaac has grown. We carved the pumpkins they picked up last week this morning.

Sibling Class

I almost forgot this cute picture from Saturday. Isaac took a sibling class at the hospital to learn all about the new baby and where Mommy will go for a couple of days to get the baby.

Nana and Papa move again...

We were so excited to have Nana and Papa visit this past weekend. They moved a week ago from Greece to Florida. We are so excited they are only 1 1/2 hour flight away now! They came for a few days to celebrate Isaac's b'day. Isaac loves the new soccer goal he got as a present.

Isaac's 3rd Birthday!

We had Isaac's 3rd birthday party on the 15th (a few days before his b'day) at a place down the street called The Playroom. It was stress-free as they provided everything. And big thanks to Isaac's Aunt Jenni who made the castle cake he requested. As you can see the big boys had fun too. At his three year doctor's appointment last week our little man measured a tall 40 inches and weighs in at 32 pounds.

Baby Shower

My friends from church gave me a very girlie baby shower this summer. It was so much fun. We didn't play any silly games, but the ladies did decorate onesies and bibs for Baby Selah. Let's just say they were VERY creative. It was so special because friends from high school, college and now were all there to share in the fun!

Sleepover

Isaac had his cousins Josh and Conner over for a sleepover for the first time. Here we are all piled in our bed on Saturday morning watching cartoons.

Corn Festival

Off to Chesterfield Berry Farm for the Corn Festival! We picked veggies and tried not to pass out from heat exhaustion. We went at 5pm and it was still around 90 degrees!

Virginia Beach

We took a fun day trip to Virginia Beach this summer. I didn't care how bad I was feeling, I wanted to have at least one day at the beach this summer. And Isaac REALLY wanted to build a sand castle. Isaac loved playing in the ocean and we actually saw dolphins that came pretty close to us.

My Birthday

My boys surprised me for my birthday in July with breakfast in bed, Isaac's first mini-golf game and a beautiful picnic at the park. What a fun day!

PLEASE FORGIVE ME!

Please forgive me! I have had trouble with our computer and haven't been able to blog in months. Well, I'm back. Kind of. I have had a very hard pregnancy this time and so we are just taking it one day at a time. Our little girl should be arriving in the next few weeks. Please pray for us. I am having a lot of health issues and just pray for a healthy little one and hopefully an end to all the sickness once she arrives. I will post some highlight pics of the summer. Here are a couple from 4th of July. We are so excited to have Chris, Kristin and kiddos here now. They moved here in June!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day

We had a fun Memorial Day going to the mountains to Grandpa and Grandma's house. We visited with old friends the Alstons from our Alaska days that were visiting Dad and Mom. We have known the Alstons for over 25 years! They were our family in Alaska. We spent every holiday together. It was fun to catch up with them. They are recently retired (to Arizona) but are traveling the country for awhile. We went to visit one of my favorite places, Buffalo Springs Herb Farm and Wade's Mill one day while Isaac was napping at home with grandma. Mo has so many wonderful pictures of the Herb Farm. Isaac had fun playing in the sprinkler out back, but had even more fun when his cousins arrived for fun walking the dinosaur trail, hiding out in the treehouse, fishing and doing "boy" things.

Newton Visit

We had a fun visit with our friends The Newtons. We were one stop on their east coast journey from Iowa. Thanks for visiting! We had lots of fun!

NEW YORK CITY

We had the wonderful opportunity to go to New York City for a long weekend for our friend Mick's wedding to the beautiful Clarice. We had a great time seeing the city and eating all the yummy food. It was also a great reunion of lots of friends we hadn't seen in a long time. We pray for Mick and Clarice as they head off on a wonderful honeymoon and start their life together in Orlando.

Isaac stayed at home with Grandpa and Grandma and had lots of fun of his own. He went strawberry picking and ate lots of ice cream!
